Promo codes are a great tool to help drive sales and incentivize sharing of your event. Promo codes allow you to offer a percentage or fixed amount discount on tickets. Codes can be limited to a specific ticket type, number of tickets as well as start and end dates. You have ultimate control over the promo conditions.
From the main menu, go to Manage Events then My Events.
Select the event image to manage the event.
On the side menu, choose Promo Codes & Links then Create Promo Code.
Name and setup your promo code. Note: Promo codes must be alphanumeric only, with no spaces and 50 characters maximum.
Use the Note field to keep track the reason for the code, was if shared with a specific person of used in a digital marketing campaign.
Set the discount percentage or fixed amount, which ticket types the promo applies to, limit the number of tickets and set a start & end date if applicable.
A promo link is automatically generated as you configure the code. You can share this link with sales associates or use it in online promotions to automatically direct attendees to your event details page and apply the promo.
Select Create Code to finish the process.
Pro Tip: You can use Promo Codes as a simple tracking tool by setting the discount to No Discount. If used in this way, you can track how many tickets we sold by people arriving from that promo link without there being a discount applied.
